A well known and central problem presented by a two party political system is that we are often forced to be neighbors with scoundrels, ghouls, and idiots. I suppose this mirrors many of life's other demographics, but it is particularly frustrating when one is continually forced to confront an undesirable in a space where they are attempting to achieve something worthwhile. More than just an annoyance, they are also a hindrance. A loud distraction that effectively slows progress internally while presenting a target for ridicule and slander externally. If we on the right do not rid ourselves of these liabilities, we are at risk of loss, politically, morally, and practically. The first step to defeating these unwanted neighbors is to define them. So who are the salt right?

Defining the Salt Right

The (s)alt right is composed of nothing more than entitled materialistic populists seeking vengeance through whichever vehicle is currently the most convenient for and accessible to them. The left has demonized them for their gender, sexuality, and skin color, so they turn to the right. Where they are unique is found in their desire not only for economic retribution, but for social retribution as well. In their eyes it is not enough that the elite are made to relinquish their grip on the liberty and well being of the people.

They demand compensation for their personal failings as well. In their eyes, their social status is not their fault or responsibility. It is a stolen birthright, and one they are willing to recover by any means necessary, as long as those means require no effort or responsibility on their own part. You will often hear their leaders telling them that they have been stolen from, through no fault of their own, and that the cultural rot they find themselves wading through can only be explained by invading forces and never their own personal failings. Many of them go a step further, reveling in their isolation or simply declaring the grapes to be sour, by demonizing the very tenets upon which the classical right stands, namely, the model American nuclear family.

Demonizing may even be putting it lightly.
